Pamela has practised environmental law for over 20 years. She is a specialist environment and sustainability practitioner, and a core member of the firm’s ESG group.  Pamela is based in our Glasgow office but works closely with our market leading London team, as well as many of our international offices. She advises on:

  • Traditional environmental issues, including contaminated land and remediation, warranties and indemnities, permitting, D&O liability, waste and FOIR/EIR matters;
  • Sustainability matters including the UK’s Climate Change Act / Climate Change (Scotland) Act and associated net zero and circular economy policies; extended producer responsibility; deposit return schemes; UK ETS; UK CBAM; deforestation; plastics/single-use plastics and packaging; energy efficiency and energy performance of buildings; “green-claims”;
  • ESG reporting and disclosure requirements including under the Companies Act 2006, the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme, Modern Slavery Act, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive;
  • Product compliance: labelling, substance restrictions and prohibitions, claims, ecodesign, energy labelling, end of life requirements, and product safety.

Pamela is currently a Band 1 ranked Chambers & Partners leading individual in Environment (Scotland), and has been recognised as an expert in her field for 17 years.
