Rachel is an Associate in the Energy & Climate Change Team and is based in Aberdeen.  

Rachel joined CMS in 2018 and completed her training contract with the firm in August 2020, gaining experience in Oil & Gas (including a secondment to Norwegian energy company, Equinor), Infrastructure, Construction and Energy Disputes, Health and Safety and Technology and Media.

Relevant experience

  • Working knowledge of the Master Deed and the associated Execution Deed process.
  • Working knowledge of OGA PEARS portal including submission of applications for consents and data checks and liaising with the OGA in respect of same.
  • Various clients conducting due diligence in relation to the disposal or acquisition of certain North Sea assets.
  • Various clients in respect of the preparation and review of third party transfer documentation including Deeds of Licence Assignment, Deeds of Collective Novation, Operating Committee Determinations and Execution Deeds.
  • Various clients in respect of the review of supply chain contracts for the provision of various goods and services and the identification of key risks and suggested qualifications. 
  • Secondment – Equinor (August 2018 – February 2019).
