Rizwan is a partner in the Corporate/M&A Team in London.  His practice focuses on transactions in the financial services sector. He advises on acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, group reorganisations and general corporate matters. He regularly leads multi-jurisdictional transactions using CMS’s international platform.

In the Banking sector, he advises high street, specialist and challenger banks on corporate matters, including Bank M&A, Part VII business transfers and investments by development finance institutions and private equity.

In the Insurance sector, he advises on brokerage, MGA, Lloyd’s and managing agency transactions. In addition, he advises on investment into and the set-up of insurance ventures in the UK. Rizwan has been included as a key lawyer for Corporate Insurance Transactions in Legal 500.

He has particular experience in the Pensions sector, advising trustees and sponsors on asset backed funding arrangements and on master trust M&A.
