Sam is a partner in the CMS Transactions team in London and a member of our Corporate Technology sector. With expertise in a wide range of corporate matters across the Technology, Media and Gambling sectors including investments, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions, Sam advises a variety of clients (entrepreneurs/start-ups, established management teams, investment houses and large corporates) across all aspects of the corporate lifecycle; from initial investment rounds, through to more complex fundraising and, ultimately, company disposals/exits.

  • BAE Systems Plc on its sale of NetReveal, the financial crime detection business, to Symphony AI.
  • Pentland Ventures on multiple investments including its investments into Autorama (and its subsequent exit to Auto Trader Plc), Misfits Health Limited, the plant based protein business, and Gideon Brothers, the AI and robotics logistics and manufacturing solution.
  • Cox Automotive on its acquisition of the vehicle services provider and Bruntingthorpe operator C Walton Ltd, expanding its whole-life vehicle services offering.
  • Smedvig Capital on multiple investments including its lead investments in the $15m Series A funding round of ad fraud company Lunio and the £9.5 million Series B funding round of app commerce company Poq.
  • The Pentland Group on a variety of transactions including its joint venture with Lacoste and its sale of the Ted Baker footwear licensee, No Ordinary Shoes Limited, to Ted Baker.
