Professor Sarah Green is a consultant to the Finance and the specialist Crypto and Digital Assets Team at CMS London, specialising in crypto, digital assets, decentralised finance and AI.

She works primarily on crypto, tokenisation, NFTs, Web3, DeFi, trade finance and document digitalisation.

As Law Commissioner at the Law Commission of England and Wales until 2024, Sarah was responsible for the Electronic Trade Documents Act 2023, the Arbitration Act 2025 and the Property (Digital Assets etc) Act 2025, as well as Advice to Government on Smart Contracts, DAOs and Intermediated Securities.

She has been a Professor of Law at the Universities of Birmingham, Oxford and Bristol and has written books and articles on cryptocurrencies, digital assets, smart contracts, intermediated securities, negligence, sale of goods, securitisation, wage theft and employment rights and her work has been cited in appellate courts across the common law world.
