Sean is an Associate in the Construction and Engineering team, specialising in non-contentious construction matters. Sean joined CMS Sheffield as a paralegal in October 2021 and qualified as a solicitor in July 2025.

Sean advises a range of private and public sector clients, including funders, developers, and sellers and purchasers. Sean has experience negotiating, drafting, and advising on a variety of construction documents, including building contracts, trade contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, and pre-construction services agreements (PCSAs). Sean also supports CMS’ Real Estate teams with other construction-related issues.

Relevant experience

  • Luton Town Football Club in relation to the preparation and negotiation of numerous trade contracts and appointments in relation to a c. GBP 100m stadium development, encompassing residential, retail, and public realm.
  • Landsec on their GBP 1.4bn regeneration of a 22-acre railway station and depot in Manchester into commercial, retail, leisure and public realm space.
  • A developer on their GBP 245m regeneration of a brownfield site in Birmingham to a mixed-use neighbourhood.
  • The Strathclyde Pension Fund - one of the largest local authority pension funds in the UK - on its regional portfolio of commercial, industrial, and residential properties across the UK.
