Simon Jacobsen

Senior Paralegal

Languages
  • English

Simon Jacobsen is a Senior Paralegal in the Insurance and Reinsurance Group based in our Sheffield office. He predominantly handles a mixed case load of defendant litigated personal injury Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims on behalf of large self-insured clients and defendant litigated industrial disease claims for a central government department. Simon has a number of years of experience handling matters for clients on a day-to-day basis and providing one-off advice on specific issues which can arise during the course of a litigation.

Having begun his career at a claimant firm, where Simon handled his own caseload of noise-induced hearing loss claims, he then proceeded to work for three major defendant insurance firms where he handled both EL/PL claims and industrial disease claims on behalf of insurer clients. In addition to dealing with litigated matters, he also takes regular instruction from clients on pre-litigation issues, such as pre-action disclosure.
