Tara is an Associate in the Litigation & Arbitration team at CMS with a focus on the technology, media, gambling and sports sectors. She has experience advising global platforms and digital businesses on complex legal, governance and regulatory challenges, including in relation to online safety, consumer protection and anti-money laundering and gambling-related harm.
She also has experience advising media organisations, such as public broadcasters and production companies in relation to publication-related and reputation management issues, involving defamation and data protection law.
She was seconded to TikTok’s e-commerce legal team to assist with the launch of TikTok Shop across the EU, working worked closely with product, policy, operations and commercial teams across jurisdictions to translate regulatory requirements into practical strategies for product implementation.
