Yasmin is an Associate in the Energy & Infrastructure Team.
She advises developers, investors, utilities and energy users across diverse technologies and clean power projects, transactions and related regulatory and commercial matters, both in the UK and internationally.
Yasmin advises on the contractual and regulatory frameworks for power and flexibility revenues, including PPAs, route to market and optimisation arrangements, balancing services, and grid connection matters. She helps clients navigate complex commercial structures to maximise bankability and revenue certainty and has experience advising on revenue models and commercial arrangements, particularly for battery energy storage projects. She also regularly advises on grid connection matters and has extensive experience guiding clients through the rapidly evolving grid connections reform landscape.
Yasmin has a particular interest in emerging nuclear technologies and advises on the early stage development of GW scale and small modular nuclear projects, including advising on the development of delivery and funding models, commercial structures and sector specific regulation. She also supports clients on nuclear fuel strategies, covering various aspects of the fuel cycle and the relevant regulatory and commercial frameworks.
Yasmin’s broader energy sector experience includes an in house role at National Grid plc, where she advised on corporate, financial, regulatory and M&A matters, giving her insight into the operational and regulatory frameworks underpinning the UK energy system.
