The Media Act 2024 ensures that UK licensed radio stations are made available on designated platforms for free and that platforms cannot overlay content (such as advertising) over the top of these services. It also introduces significant reforms to the regulatory framework for commercial radio, providing greater flexibility for analogue commercial radio stations in how they deliver their services.
