CMA: Retail Banking Market Investigation Order

09 Apr 2025 (UPDATED: 13 Mar 2026) United Kingdom 1 min read

CMA has written to Lloyds Banking Group setting out its concerns with regard to the firm’s breach of Part 5 of the Retail Banking Market Investigation Order 2017 which requires banks and building societies to send payment transaction histories to any personal current account customer who closes their account (unless an exemption applies).  The letter also sets out the firm’s actions in relation to this and confirms that CMA will take no further enforcement action.
