FCA: Engagement paper: Market risk capital requirements for FCA investment firms

FCA is consulting on how it could change rules on market risk capital to make them more appropriate for investment firms – specifically with regard to the encouragement of wholesale trading, improving market liquidity and reducing barriers to entry for specialised trading firms.  Responses are required by 10 February 2026.  FCA is also inviting stakeholders to a roundtable at the end of January (see second link below).
