FCA: Multi-firm review of contracts for difference providers’ provision of price and value

13 Nov 2025 (UPDATED: 13 Mar 2026) United Kingdom 1 min read

FCA has published its review of CFD providers’ provision of price and value.  Although some good practice was in evidence, FCA found a number of areas for improvement.  These include: firms not adequately considering consumer complaints or customer satisfaction as part of their fair value assessments; firms making little or no changes to their products or services in response to the Consumer Duty; firms applying varying levels of overnight funding charges without providing clear justification, and firms charging overnight funding separately on matched long and short positions.  FCA notes that it is considering further work in some areas identified from the survey.
