FCA: Speech by Jessica Rusu: Supporting fintech in the next phase of innovation/AI Live Testing
FCA has announced the next phase of its AI Lab, including details of new firms entering AI Live Testing and the forthcoming second intake of the Supercharged Sandbox. Jessica Rusu’s speech notes “no new rules. We will use learnings from the AI Lab to publish examples of good and poor practice later this year”.

FCA has published an independent assessment report on proposals to lead the establishment of a future open banking standards-setting body. A future report will consider how the Future Entity could be operationalised.
FCA: PS26/7: Progressing fund tokenisation
Further to CP25/28, in which FCA proposed new guidance to support firms seeking to launch tokenised authorised funds in the UK using the industry‑led Blueprint model and rules to introduce a new direct dealing model for all authorised funds to promote fund efficiency and aid tokenisation models, this PS sets out feedback and the rules and guidance. It also sets out how fund tokenisation could develop over time as part of FCA’s roadmap for digital assets.
FCA: Cryptoasset firms can request pre-application meetings from 11 May 2026
FCA has announced that cryptoasset firms preparing for the new FSMA regime will be able to request a pre-application meeting with via PASS from 11 May 2026. The pre-application meetings will take place from July 2026 and will be scheduled as requests come in.
