TSC: Bank outages

TSC has written to CEOs at nine banks and building societies to request information on the scale and impact of IT failures which have affected their businesses over the last two years, including details on compensation to customers and the reasons for each outage.  In its letter to Barclays Bank, TSC asks more detailed questions about the outage which began last month, including how customer service teams responded to consumers and what action the Board took to rectify the issue.  TSC has given the banks until 26 February 2025 to respond.
