Our commitments

<< CMS Diversity & Inclusion Charter

At CMS, we are committed to:

  • developing and supporting a diverse workplace in which all are welcome regardless of gender, age, disability, race and ethnicity, religion or belief, and sexual orientation.
  • an environment that encourages new ways of thinking and working, and values the contributions and perspectives of all – especially those with experience, ideas and work styles different from our own.
  • supporting all colleagues with a broad range of policies, practices and procedures which recognise individual contribution and performance; developing each individual’s capability; and giving everyone equal opportunities to use their talents and fulfil their potential.
  • providing a workplace free from discrimination, harassment and bullying, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

To support these commitments, we:

  • communicate internally about our D & I charter to ensure that all colleagues are aware of it as well as about activities and initiatives to make everyone aware of the positive impact on our people and business. Where appropriate, we will communicate our D & I initiatives and progress externally.
  • set SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-based) goals and track these to monitor progress and assess the impact. These goals will be revisited regularly as we progress, so that we keep advancing the D & I agenda as well as challenge ourselves to continually improve. See section on “Goals” and appendix for an overview of potential goals.

Additionally, CMS is now signed on to the United Nation’s Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate social responsibility initiative. It supports companies in doing business responsibly and in concordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. CMS has committed to meet responsibilities in four areas: human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. In our annual Communication of Progress report, issued as part of our commitment to the Global Compact, we will outline our efforts to operate responsibly and in support of society.
