1. Is notarisation required and are fees payable? 

Yes, mortgages over real estate property must be signed in front of the notary public, in authentic form. Notary fees are computed pro rata with the secured amount and are approximately 0.07% of the secured amount.

2. Do the following securities / deeds require to be registered in the Local Property Register and what fees are payable? 

2.1 Mortgage over real estate property 

Yes. 0.1% of the secured amount, plus RON 100 (EUR 22) for each property.

2.2 Mortgage over bank accounts 

No.

2.3 Mortgage over movable assets
