CMS appoints lawyers Nicole Kuijer, Ayşegül Avcı, and Jildau Yilmaz as counsel, as of 1 January 2025. Additionally, lawyers Dena Mokhberolsafa, Andries Polkerman, Simon Polkerman, and Tijmen Brüne will be appointed as partners on that same date. These appointments strengthen CMS's representation of the next generations and support its growth ambitions.

Nicole Kuijer works in the Commercial practice area group. She focuses on drafting, and advising and litigating on national and international commercial contracts and cooperations. Nicole's practice areas include the retail, food and manufacturing industry with a focus on e-commerce and the platform economy.
Ayşegül Avcı works in the Employment & Pensions practice area group. She advises national and international medium-sized and large companies on employment law. Additionally, Ayşegül is Co-Head of the CMS Expat Desk and Head of the CMS Turkish Desk.
Jildau Yilmaz works in the Real Estate & Construction practice area group and specialises in construction law, on which she advises project developers and contractors. Jildau also litigates in construction matters. She also advises and litigates on procurement law. Jildau lectures at the Vrije Universiteit and the Instituut voor Bouwrecht.
Dena Mokhberolsafa works in the Corporate/M&A practice area group and specialises in international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity transactions. Dena has a particular expertise in the Hotels & Leisure as well as the Life Sciences & Healthcare sectors.
Andries Polkerman specialises in litigation and represents both national and international companies in complex commercial disputes. He has extensive experience across various areas of expertise. Andries is a seasoned litigator in all judicial instances and is also well-versed in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
Simon Polkerman specialises in litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation. He deals with all relevant aspects of complex dispute resolution, including multijurisdictional and multidisciplinary proceedings, class actions, stakeholder and risk management, and complex settlement processes.
Tijmen Brüne works within the Real Estate & Construction practice area group. He specialises in real estate transactions and project development. Tijmen focuses on commercial real estate, including logistics, light industrial and retail. Additionally, he has specific expertise in projects related to data centres.
