"We are delighted with María Cristina's arrival due to her extensive background and capabilities. She is a professional who understands the client's demands and the emerging needs of the mining sector, and her significant experience in this field is a highly relevant asset to our service."

Responding to the perspective on the legal needs of the mining sector, María Cristina Alva expressed:

"The challenges presented by the mining industry must be addressed comprehensively, seeking to add value to our clients through practical solutions focused on sector knowledge. This comprehensive and cross-cutting vision is part of CMS Grau's identity, and my addition enhances this vision. As a full-service firm, CMS Grau develops expertise in all areas of law, including regulatory, corporate, tax, procedural, labour, and environmental, enabling it to meet the growing demand for legal services in the mining sector.

CMS Grau's mining department, also featuring Vito Verna in environmental matters, Ramón Huapaya in regulatory affairs, and Juan Carlos Escudero in corporate and transactional aspects, positions itself as a fundamental component by coordinating and organizing services demanded by clients in the mining sector.

For Miguel Grau Malachowski, founding partner of the mining practice at CMS Grau, the addition of María Cristina Alva represents a strategic strengthening of the mining department

"Her extensive professional journey in significant mining sector companies, coupled with a solid academic background, contributes to her being highly valued in the mining sector. This valuation is not only for her leadership abilities but also for her commitment and work in initiatives promoting sustainability and sector development."
