2026 PROPRIV Update

The update to the Privatisation Programme for the 2023–2026 period (“PROPRIV 2026”) has been published, outlining a list of 10 companies in which the State holds shares to be privatised during 2026, as well as the applicable procedures. Presidential Decree No. 36/26 of 24 February also specifies the assets excluded from this phase of the programme.
Pursuant to this update, the State’s shares in the following companies will be divested through an Initial Public Offering: ANGOLA TELECOM, E.P. (100%); ENDIAMA, E.P. (100%); NOVA CIMANGOLA, S.A. (28.13%); SBA, S.A. (49%); and UNITEL, S.A. (100%).
The State’s shares in the following companies shall be privatised through a Limited Tender by Prior Qualification: TAAG, S.A. (100%); ZEE, E.P. (100%); GRUPO MEDIANOVA (100%); and TV ZIMBO, S.A. (100%).
It is also planned that the State’s shares in BCA, S.A. (1.44%) will be disposed of through a Public Tender.
A total of 66 companies and assets were excluded from PROPRIV 2026, including, inter alia, SONANGOL, E.P., TV CABO ANGOLA, LDA., SGA, S.A., SONAMET INDUSTRIAL, S.A., MULTITEL, LDA., MUNDIAL SEGUROS, S.A., and SECIL MARÍTIMA, S.A.
