CMS advised a joint venture formed by VGP and Areim on the acquisition of 13 logistics assets across 7 countries, two of which are located in Portugal, in a transaction valued at €509 million. The acquisition was carried out through a share purchase transaction.
To advise on the purchase and financing transaction, CMS Portugal deployed a multidisciplinary team comprising partners Francisco Xavier de Almeida (Corporate M&A), João Pinheiro da Silva (Real Estate), Sara de Almeida Barroso (Planning) and Bernardo Cunha Ferreira (Energy and Climate Change), with the participation of coordinating associate André Guimarães (Corporate M&A), senior associate Luã Brito Malta, associates Francisca Pereira da Cruz (Corporate M&A), Inês Machado da Silva (Planning) and Duarte de Castro Rodrigues (Real Estate), and trainee Mariana Gonçalves Ribeiro (Corporate M&A) and Manuel Rafael (Energy and Climate Change).
According to the partners at CMS Portugal: “We are proud to have advised on this transaction, which exemplifies CMS’s ability to operate simultaneously across multiple jurisdictions, providing the client with a seamless cross-border solution. This is a transaction that spanned seven countries at the same time — something that is only possible for a firm with CMS’s global reach and experience.”
