Sara de Almeida Barroso is a Partner in the Planning Law team.

With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in real estate, namely in urban and environmental planning, project management, litigation, and regulatory matters.

Sara is individually recognised by Chambers Europe for the past 19 years and she is ranked as Leading Partner by Legal 500, 2025. Moreover, she is recognised for Land Use and Zoning Law and Planning, by Best Lawyers for the past years and as a Recommended for Real Estate by Leaders League, 2024. She was also considered one of the most inspirational women of the Iberian Peninsula by InspiraLaw in 2021 and 2022, by Iberian Lawyer, as well as was recognised by the Financial Times as one of the most innovative young lawyers in Europe in 2016.
