Minimum Monthly Wage value applicable in the Autonomous Region of Madeira

The Regional Legislative Decree No. 1/2026/M was published in the National Official Journal (“Diário da República”), establishing the value of the Minimum Monthly Wage applicable in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. Effective January 1, 2026, the RMMG is set at EUR 980.00 (nine hundred and eighty euros).

The measure aligns with the guidelines of the XVI Regional Government Program, aiming to foster economic growth, improve living standards, enhance the valorization of work, and reduce inequalities through a policy of positive differentiation of the RMMG that boosts conventional wages and promotes the sustainability of wage policy. This amount represents a 7.1% increase compared to the Minimum Monthly Wage in force in 2025 in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
