Health and Safety

As increasing regulation places responsibility on employers and employees alike, health and safety is of paramount importance to all businesses.

CMS’ specialist team has an extensive and successful history of advising clients when accidents happen at work, with particularly strong expertise in supporting the oil and gas and high hazard industries.

We regularly assist clients with a range of health and safety matters including:

  • Regulatory investigations
  • Corporate manslaughter investigations
  • Criminal proceedings, including plea and trial.
  • Formal interviews under caution and police powers.
  • Coordinating site inspections.
  • Inquests and fatal accident inquiries
  • Preventative measures to mitigate the risk of a future event occurring, complying with UK and European regulatory requirements.

Our team is available to provide you with advice from the moment the incident occurs and guide you through any regulatory investigation that may arise. With our 24-hour emergency support hotline clients can rely on our pragmatic and business-orientated advice, regardless of the time of day.

Members of our team are qualified as approved senior investigators under the Kelvin TOP-SET investigation scheme, regularly used to investigate incidents of any scale through root cause analysis, ensuring a bespoke, swift investigation and identification of remedial measures.
