CMS advised ALPLA on the strategic acquisition of the closure production operations of Serbian manufacturer Energoplast in Belgrade to strengthen ALPLA’s compression and injection moulding capacity and beverage‑packaging footprint in South‑East Europe.

CMS acted as legal advisor to the ALPLA Group on the acquisition of the closure production operations of Serbian manufacturer Energoplast in Belgrade. The transaction, completed on 1 November 2025 following regulatory approvals, transfers Energoplast's facility together with production lines, personnel and existing business relationships to ALPLA, ensuring continuity of supply for customers in Serbia and neighbouring markets.

The acquisition expands ALPLA’s compression and injection moulding footprint and broadens its product range in South‑East Europe, strengthening the company’s position as a system provider for beverage packaging.

CMS provided comprehensive legal support across the transaction, providing advisory services from initial transaction structuring, due diligence support, negotiation/signing of the transaction documents and on regulatory approval clearance. The Transactions team is led by Partner Alexander Rakosi (CMS Austria) with the core team additionally consisting of Lisa Oberlechner and Dieter Zandler (both CMS Austria) as well as Ivan Gazdić, Marija Tešić, Teodora Vujošević and Srđan Janković (all CMS Serbia). Florian Mayer and Anna Hiegelsperger provided additional support.

By advising on this acquisition, CMS underlines its leading position in industrial and manufacturing M&A and its capacity to deliver commercially focused, cross‑border legal solutions that support client growth and operational continuity.
