Prof. Johannes Reich-Rohrwig is leaving CMS at the end of the year – continuity ensured by handover to Lukas Peissl-Lewisch and Arno Zimmermann
CMS Austria honors the outstanding work of Prof. Johannes Reich-Rohrwig, who will be retiring from the firm at the end of 2025 after reaching the age limit. As a long-standing name partner, he has had a lasting impact on the development of CMS Austria, helping to build the firm over decades and playing a key role in the international alliance within the CMS network in 1999. His legal expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and unique approach to nurturing talent have shaped generations of lawyers and established CMS as a reliable partner in commercial law matters.
Lukas Peissl-Lewisch and Arno Zimmermann have taken over his responsibilities at CMS – two partners who, together with Prof. Reich-Rohrwig, have shaped the litigation practice over many years and represent companies and private individuals in complex commercial law disputes before state courts and arbitration tribunals. This marks a generational change that is characterized by continuity in terms of content and personnel in the litigation practice.
“We would like to thank Johannes Reich-Rohrwig for his extraordinary work and the many years in which he has shaped litigation at CMS. Our goal is to preserve this strong foundation and continue the litigation practice with the highest quality and innovative strength,” emphasizes Lukas Lewisch-Peissl.
Arno Zimmermann adds: "Prof. Johannes Reich-Rohrwig has shaped us both professionally and personally. He has combined academic excellence with great assertiveness for our clients like no other and has shown that strategic vision is of central importance both in serving our clients and in the orientation of our practice group. We will continue to uphold this standard and consistently expand the litigation and arbitration practice."
CMS clients will continue to benefit from the broad spectrum of the Litigation & Arbitration practice – from contentious corporate law to construction and post-M&A disputes to national and international arbitration proceedings.
