Tatiana is Counsel for Human Rights in the Environmental Law & Sustainability – Human Rights practice area of the Firm. She is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a graduate degree in Administrative Law from the same university and a Master’s Degree in National Security and Defense from the Colombian Superior War College. She also holds an LLM in International Legal Studies with Certificate in International Human Rights Law from Georgetown University, where she attended as Fulbright and Colfuturo Scholar and she graduated with honors.

Tatiana has more than 20 years’ experience in her practice areas, advising entities in the public sector such as the Ministry of Defense and a legislative unit in the National Senate, acting then as Inspector General Delegate for Human Rights and Ethnic Affairs and for the Preventive Oversight of Civil Service. For the past 7 years, she has advised from her private practice national and international clients in sectors such as extractive, agroindustry, education, and retail, among others, in topics related to due diligence in human rights, both relating to a company’s own operations, and to its value chain.

Academically, Tatiana has been professor in Public International Law for undergraduate studies in the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and for the past 5 years has taught the module in Business and Human Rights in two master’s degrees of the same university, as well as the joint diploma course between the Javeriana and Tirant Lo Blanch. Tatiana has taught other classes in master’s, graduate, and training courses in topics related to International Law, Human Rights, and International Humanitarian Law in universities such as the Catholic University of Colombia, Andes University, Guías Colombia and the United Nations Global Compact.
