CMS advises Bayern Kapital, JOIN Capital, NRW.BANK and OMVP on HyImpulse Technologies' Series A extension financing round

Munich – The investors Bayern Kapital, JOIN Capital, NRW.BANK and OMVP (Oscar Mike Venture Partners) have participated in a Series A extension financing round for HyImpulse Technologies GmbH. In addition to existing investors, including Campus Founders, new investors such as Ace Capital Partners, Thesiger Capital Group, BW-Capital and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) also participated in the financing round, which has a total volume of more than EUR 50 million. The transaction strengthens the funding base of a highly innovative future-oriented sector and underlines the growing importance of both private and public investors for the European space industry.

A CMS team led by Dr. Jessica Mohaupt advised Bayern Kapital, JOIN Capital, NRW.BANK and OMVP on all legal aspects of the Series A extension financing round. The mandate included, in particular, legal due diligence, the structuring, drafting and negotiation of the transaction documentation, as well as comprehensive legal advice throughout the transaction.

The investors advised by CMS are actively engaged in financing innovative growth and technology companies. Bayern Kapital is the venture capital investor of the Free State of Bavaria, focusing on high-tech and deep-tech companies. JOIN Capital is a venture capital investor specialising in deep-tech, space and dual-use technologies. NRW.BANK is the development bank of the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia and supports innovative growth companies, particularly in future-oriented and technology-driven sectors, including through equity financing. OMVP (Oscar Mike Venture Partners) is an investor focused on defence, dual-use and space technologies.

HyImpulse Technologies GmbH is an aerospace company based in Neuenstadt am Kocher, Germany. Founded in 2018, the company is a privately financed spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and develops suborbital and orbital launch services based on hybrid-powered launch vehicles. HyImpulse has extensive experience in the development of hybrid propulsion systems and has successfully tested and continuously refined its technology through numerous test campaigns
