Hamburg – The CMA CGM Group is reorganising the business of its German subsidiary Containerships - CMA CGM GmbH. With effect from 1 July 2023, the group subsidiary has transferred its comprehensive services for sea, road and rail transport to the group's parent company CMA CGM S.A., based in Marseille, France. In this way, the CMA CGM Group ensures uniform operational activities and an even more comprehensive range of services from which customers are to benefit. Containerships - CMA CGM GmbH played a central role in expanding the range of multimodal transport services offered by the group of companies throughout Europe.
An international CMS team led by lead partner Dr Eckart Gottschalk provided comprehensive legal advice to Containerships - CMA CGM GmbH on the project over an extended period of time. The focus was on corporate and employment law advice and the coordination of various structuring measures in different jurisdictions. CMA CGM regularly relies on the advice of CMS. Both in Germany and in other jurisdictions.
