Frankfurt/Main – The Fulda branch of the German Red Cross (DRK) is starting operation of two vaccination centres in the federal state of Hesse, together with a number of local partners.
An interdisciplinary CMS team led by Dr Rajiv Chandna and Dr Florian Plagemann advised DRK Fulda on all aspects of the corporate law and regulatory requirements for establishing the vaccination centres and starting operation. The team managed to meet the tight schedule despite the public law guidelines relating to the coronavirus pandemic constantly changing. Health, safety and liability issues had to be taken into consideration alongside drawing up agreements under corporate law and the operator contracts.
With around 1,000 full-time employees and 650 volunteer members, the Fulda district association of the DRK is one of the most important service providers in the region. Its range of services includes ambulances, inpatient and outpatient care for the elderly and sick, and training qualified personnel.
