Hamburg – Eqwal Group, a global player in the prosthetics and orthotics market, has acquired all shares in Schindler Orthopädie Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft and Schindler Verwaltungs-GmbH – which wholly owns Schindler Orthopädie Schuhtechnik GmbH – through its German subsidiary Ortho Dev Deutschland GmbH.

With this transaction, the Eqwal Group is strengthening its presence in the German market for orthopaedic care and expanding its service portfolio in the field of custom-made orthopaedic products and shoe technology.

A CMS team led by Dr Eckart Gottschalk provided comprehensive legal advice to the Eqwal Group in connection with the transaction. The advice included, in particular, conducting legal due diligence and drafting and negotiating the transaction documents.

The Eqwal Group is an international company specialising in the development, manufacture and distribution of prostheses and orthoses. With a global network of partners and subsidiaries, Eqwal pursues the goal of offering innovative solutions for people with mobility impairments and improving access to high-quality orthopaedic care worldwide.
