Stuttgart – International real estate service provider Savills is expanding its presence in the German property market and has entered into a joint venture with real estate agent Thomas Zabel. In establishing the Residential Agency business unit, Savills is adding residential property to its portfolio of services in Germany, thus addressing the needs of German private clients for the first time. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Claus-Peter Fabian advised Savills on all legal aspects of the joint venture. The team regularly advises the Savills Group on M&A transactions and corporate law matters, with a recent example being the acquisition of the property and facilities management companies OMEGA Immobilien Management GmbH and OMEGA Immobilien Service GmbH.
