Johannes Noller supports clients in successfully implementing digital business models. He provides comprehensive advice on legal issues in connection with artificial intelligence, blockchain and crypto assets as well as traditional IT law.

In the field of artificial intelligence, Johannes Noller supports companies along the entire value chain. In particular, he advises on data protection, copyright and contractual matters in connection with training AI models, accompanies the distribution of AI applications and supports companies in the legally compliant deployment of AI, for example by setting up internal governance structures. One special focus of his work is implementing the requirements of the AI Act.

In the area of blockchain and crypto assets, Johannes Noller advises on the legal implementation of tokenisation projects and token-based business models, on smart contracts, as well as on the regulatory classification of crypto assets and crypto services under MiCAR and other regulatory requirements. A further area of specialisation is DeFi business models, such as crypto exchanges and liquidity pools. He also advises on requirements for stablecoins, e-money tokens, AML compliance and digital identities.

Johannes Noller joined CMS in 2024. Before then, he gained experience at the European Commission in Brussels, the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA) and in several international commercial law firms.
