Frankfurt/Main - Lightrock and Partech have led the EUR 60M financing round of Makersite GmbH. The round was joined by SE Ventures.
Lightrock is a global investment platform committed to building a sustainable future. Operating across private and public markets, Lightrock is a B Corp and its funds invest in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
Partech via its Impact Fund actively scales European impact-native technology leaders trying to solve environmental and social challenges.
A CMS team led by Dr Jessica Mohaupt-Schneider and Dr Florian Plagemann provided comprehensive legal advice to Lightrock and Partech on the investment. CMS has previously supported Lightrock, for example in connection with its participation in the EUR 240M financing round of Amboss SE earlier this year.
Makersite’s AI-powered platform helps leading manufacturers – including Microsoft, Daikin, Cummins, Barco, and Schneider Electric – gain a deeper understanding of what is in their supply chains, starting with fixing product data. The platform takes fragmented and inconsistent customer data and uses artificial intelligence to clean, connect, and structure it. This enriched data is then combined with Makersite’s proprietary data foundation – one of the most comprehensive sources of supply chain information available today. It includes details on how materials and components are made, their cost, environmental footprint, regulatory status, and more.
