Madeleine Martinek advises on German and cross-border M&A and private equity transactions, assisting with due diligence as well as contract drafting and negotiation. She also provides ongoing corporate law advice and has special expertise in China-related projects due to her experience gained working in Shanghai and Beijing.

Madeleine started her legal career in 2021 at an international commercial law firm in Cologne and completed a secondment in Shanghai. Prior to that, she headed the legal department of AHK Greater China (German chamber of commerce) in Beijing and was an assistant professor at the China-EU School of Law of China University of Political Science and Law.

Madeleine joined CMS in 2024. She holds a teaching position at Saarland University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in Wuhan. She is also the regional spokesperson for the Young Leaders of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association in North Rhine-Westphalia.
