Neil Yeats is a member of the Employment Law practice area and advises national and international companies on all matters of individual and collective employment law, including its connections with social security and immigration law.
His advisory work focuses on drafting employment and service contracts, supporting compliance matters (including conducting internal investigations and their employment law implications), and advising on employment law aspects of corporate transactions (due diligence, structuring, and post-merger integration), as well as business transfers pursuant to Section 613a of the German Civil Code (BGB).
Neil Yeats has particular experience in handling complex employment litigation, advising international clients on entering the German market, and providing counsel on managing director matters.
He began his legal career at CMS in 2016. He has been a certified employment law specialist since 2021 and was appointed Counsel in 2023. In the same year, he successfully completed the “Shaping the ESG Future of Business” program at the University of St. Gallen. Since 2023, he serves as Co-Head of the Employment Law practice group's HR Compliance Excellence Cluster.
