We’re back, and we’re in person! Join us for the CMS Consumer & Retail Conference – The New Abnormal on 7 June from 09.00 to 13.00.
For many brands and retailers, 2021 was a year characterised by exploration, innovation, and novel approaches to overcoming major challenges. For those that survived, ‘cautious optimism’ was the byword as we entered 2022. And yet, whilst some challenges have faded, others linger on and new greater ones have emerged. From geopolitics to climate, supply chains to regulatory tidal waves - disruption and risk are now the industry standard.
This year, with insights from Jessica Sansom (Sustainability Director, Huel) and Richard Lim (CEO, Retail Economics), amongst others, we take a look at the challenges ahead, including:
- Economic risk – casting an eye over the economic and geopolitical climate and its impacts for growth.
- Technology risk – as well as technological change, we examine technology disputes, how to avoid them and how to manage them when they arise.
- Consumer risk – consumer law is the new GDPR and organisations ignore the coming storm at their peril.
- Environment risk – in the wake of COP26 and the latest IPCC reports, we look at what companies can and should be doing to address their impact.
