CMS advises Zinc Media Group on acquisition of WMP Qatar
CMS has advised Zinc Media Group plc (Zinc Media), the award-winning international content, IP, brand and event production group, on its acquisition of William Martin Qatar, LLC trading as WM Productions Qatar (WMP Qatar), a leading event production business based in the Middle East.
WMP Qatar, founded in 2010, is an award-winning creative agency specialising in events, film and design production across the Middle East. The business serves a blue-chip client base spanning science and technology, education, healthcare and government.
The acquisition is highly complementary to Zinc Media's existing operations in Qatar, where Zinc Media’s brand, film and television production business trades as The Edge. The deal supports Zinc Media's wider strategy of accelerating growth and broadening its capabilities across the Middle East, including in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, where it produced its largest event to date in FY25.
Commenting on the transaction, Tom Jameson, Partner at CMS, said: "We’re delighted to have advised Zinc Media on this strategically important acquisition. The deal is a strong fit for Zinc Media's Middle East growth strategy, bringing together two complementary businesses. We look forward to seeing Zinc Media continue to build on its impressive momentum in the region."
Mark Browning, CEO of Zinc Media Group, said: "Many thanks to CMS for their support in getting the WMP deal over the line. Tom and Caroline provided excellent counsel throughout this transaction. Their understanding of our business and strategic objectives, combined with their expertise in balancing the commercial and legal aspects of the deal, made them instrumental in delivering this deal. It’s great to have completed another bolt-on acquisition together."
The CMS team was led by Tom Jameson, with support from Caroline Walker (Corporate).
