Tom is a partner in the Corporate/M&A Team at CMS, with a specific focus on M&A, VC and PE in the Media and Technology sectors. He is ranked in both Chambers (Private Equity: Venture Capital Investments, 2025) and Legal 500 (M&A: Upper Mid-Market and Premium deals, GBP 750m+, 2025).

He has advised Venture Capital and Private Equity sponsors, CVCs and management companies across all aspects of the corporate lifecycle; from initial VC / Growth Capital investment rounds, joint ventures and corporate restructures, through to more complex private equity fundraising and, ultimately, company disposals/exits.

Tom’s practice leverages the CMS platform, representing a considerable number of sponsors on their pan-European investments, US PE houses investing in the UK and Europe as well as technology companies expanding globally.

Having acted for both management teams and investors, his 360-degree experience enables him to spot potential issues early, and project manage transactions efficiently and effectively.
