International law firm CMS has advised Box to Box Films (Box to Box) on a minority investment by Bruin Capital, the industry-leading growth investment and buyout specialist in global sports.

Founded by Academy Award®-winning producer James Gay-Rees and Emmy-winning producer Paul Martin, Box to Box is one of the industry's fastest-growing production houses, renowned for producing groundbreaking sports documentaries including: Formula 1:Drive to Survive; Full Swing; Break Point; Unchained; and Make or Break.

The fresh investment by Bruin Capital will allow Box to Box to expand into self-financed projects as well as new verticals including digital, branded and scripted, while also exploring strategic M&A.

CMS Corporate partner and Co-head of the Media practice, Paul Guite, commented, "We're thrilled to have worked with the Box to Box team on this transformative partnership and look forward to seeing Box to Box, with the backing of Bruin Capital, continue to grow and create great content.

The CMS team was led by Paul Guite, and included Sarah Wilson, Jasmine Lam and Maja Kajdasz (Corporate); Andrew Quayle and Imogen Rohrs (Share Incentives); Stephen Hignett and Alexander Oldland (Tax); and Emily Pepper (Employment).
