International law firm CMS has advised Calvary Ventures on its investment in OpenVolt, a remote company with a mission to unlock smart-meter data across the globe. Climate investor Übermorgen Ventures also participated in the pre-seed round.
Founded by entrepreneurs and technology executives Dave Curran and Don O'Leary, Openvolt’s API will provide a powerful solution to access energy data to plan and manage electrified assets, and to contribute to the reduction of the world’s carbon footprint.
Founded in 2016, Cavalry Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm based in Berlin, Germany, that backs bold entrepreneurs in building a better future through technology.
The CMS Venture Capital team was led by Tom Jameson, with support from Greg Turton (Corporate). This is the latest in a series of investments the team has advised Cavalry on, having worked on its investments in Enzai, Nory and Kinnu earlier this year.
