International law firm CMS has advised longstanding client Value Retail on the sale of a minority stake in the business, held by Hammerson Plc, for an enterprise value of £1.5 billion to a vehicle formed by certain affiliates of US private equity sponsor L Catterton.
Value Retail, through The Bicester Collection, specialises in the creation and operation of luxury and premium fashion outlet centres. The Bicester Collection operates nine shopping villages across the UK and Europe, including Oxfordshire’s Bicester Village.
The CMS team was led by CMS Corporate Partner Narinder Jugpal and Banking Partner Patrick Donegan, with associates Ruth Jones and Max Weaver.
