CMS has advised Vsim Technologies (“Vsim”), a cutting-edge UK simulation startup, on its successful seed funding round, which has raised $21.5 million. The round was led by EQT Ventures, with participation from investors including Factorial Funds, Samsung Next, Tru Arrow, Xora (backed by Temasek), IQ Capital, Koro Capital, Concept Ventures, Lakestar Scout Fund, and Carles Reina.

Founded in 2022, Vsim is a multi-physics simulation research and deployment company which is revolutionising real-time simulation through its advanced multi-physics simulation engine. Vsim’s solution utilises new algorithms that leverage multi-core hardware architectures to accelerate physics simulations for companies in a wide range of industries including robotics, Visual FX, aerodynamics for planes & vehicles, gaming, and e-commerce, amongst others.

This latest funding will accelerate Vsim’s mission to revolutionise robotics training. Vsim is currently building a robotic platform (Vlab) on top of its simulation platform and Unreal Engine 5. Its robotic platform provides authoring capabilities for application to set up environments and robots, simulation and inference.

Vsim has been a valued member of CMS’s equIP programme, which is designed to support IP-rich start-ups through their growth journey.

Anthony Waller, Corporate Partner at CMS, says: "We are delighted to have supported Vsim through this significant milestone. It’s been a privilege to work with such a dynamic company, one that is truly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the field of simulation. Having worked closely with the team at Vsim since its inception as part of the equIP programme, we’ve had the opportunity to witness their impressive growth and innovation firsthand. This successful funding round is a testament to the strength and belief in Vsim's technology and their vision for the future of AI and physics simulation. We look forward to seeing what they achieve next and are excited to continue supporting them as they grow."

Michelle Lu, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Vsim, says: "We deeply appreciate CMS’s expertise and guidance, which has been instrumental in helping us reach this critical stage in our development. The CMS team has been a trusted partner throughout our journey, providing critical support at every step, including in this latest funding round.”

The CMS team was led by partner Anthony Waller, with support from associate James Dooling and trainee Nethya Sea.
