CMS is delighted to announce the appointment of Catherine Gelder as a Partner in the firm’s Infrastructure, Construction and Energy (ICE) Disputes Team in London. She joins the firm from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.

Catherine focuses her practice on construction and engineering claims and dispute resolution. She works with clients from all sides of the construction industry and has been involved on a raft of significant infrastructure projects including the London Olympics, the £1 billion redevelopment of London Bridge Station, the £4 billion Thames Tideway Tunnel and the £375 million Lewisham Gateway Development.

Steven Williams, Joint Head of the ICE Disputes group at CMS UK, comments: “We are delighted to welcome Catherine to the team. Catherine has become a "go-to" partner for some of the UK’s most iconic infrastructure projects and has developed a first-rate reputation advising developers and contractors across the industry. She will add significant strength to the team and ensure that we can continue to service our existing pipeline of work and grow our client base at a time when we are seeing a significant uptick in construction disputes across both the UK and internationally.”

Commenting on her appointment, Catherine adds: “I am very excited to be joining the dynamic team at CMS. I am confident that CMS will provide an excellent platform for me to continue my career and develop my practice.”
