Fraser has 23 years of experience, which he uses to help clients resolve disputes and successfully deliver construction, engineering, energy and climate change, infrastructure and waste projects, within the UK and internationally.

  • A client on a series of multi-million US dollar disputes arising from the oil industry in the Caucasus region. The issues included complex cross-border arbitration issues and the UNCITRAL arbitration rules.
  • An international energy company on the resolution of cross-border contractual issues arising from the development of a US$950m power station.
  • A client on concluding disputes on behalf of the employer arising out of a FIDIC form of agreement relating to the design and construction of civil and steel works associated with a CCGT project.
  • A key engineering contractor on a dispute concerning a gas utilisation project and the largest producing oilfield in the Mediterranean.
  • One of Europe’s largest energy companies on a series of disputes arising under an NEC3 target cost agreement for electrical and mechanical erection works.
  • A client (the employer) on resolving a US$160m dispute involving an international consortium of Japanese and European contractors, in connection with the construction of a flue gas desulphurisation plant. The contract was based on the MF/1 standard form.
  • An international engineering, construction and project management company on issues arising from a multi-billion US dollar PPP agreement for the design and build of key infrastructure works.
  • A client (the employer) on resolving a dispute relating to the design, construction, commissioning and performance testing of a state of the art anaerobic digestion plant under an IChemE Burgundy Book target cost contract.
  • A local authority on the resolution of significant structural defects claims against a contractor under a schools PFI programme.
