CMS has advised Serena Industrial Partners on its entry into the Dutch market with the acquisition of a stake in the A1/A6 PPP motorway
The A1/A6 motorway is an availability-based PPP, and is one of the largest PPP projects undertaken in the Netherlands. The motorway forms part of the Schiphol–Amsterdam–Almere corridor, which is a strategic transport axis providing high-capacity connectivity to Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport and the northern Randstad region. The project includes critical infrastructure such as (i) the Diemen Railway bridge over the A9-A1 bypass; (ii) the Amsterdam to Rhine Canal Bridge (Amsterdam Rijnkanaal); (iii) the Vecht aqueduct; (iv) the Muiderberg railway bridge; and (v) the New Hollandse bridge.
Serena Industrial Partners is a leading independent fund manager focused on mid-market real infrastructure development with an industrial focus.
CMS Partners Michael Carroll and Rob Gray comment: "CMS has structured and documented hundreds of PPP and PFI projects across the UK and Europe, and we were delighted to have supported Serena on the acquisition of one of Europe’s signature PPP projects. It was a pleasure working with the Serena team and we look forward to continuing to support their plans going forward.”
