Andrew Milne is an Of Counsel in the Insurance and Reinsurance Group.

Andrew advises insurers and reinsurers on complex claims, often concerning bespoke financial products, allegations of serious wrongdoing and the intersection between English law and the laws of other jurisdictions.

Andrew’s recent work has involved him counselling on claims under trade credit, kidnap and ransom, investment management, directors and officers liability, crime and professional indemnity insurance policies.

Most of Andrew’s work is international-related. He has advised on claims in Belgium, Brazil, Cayman Islands, China, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Guernsey, Holland, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Mauritius, Poland, The Philippines, Romania, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkiye and the US (including California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and Washington DC).

Andrew has drafted an array of policy wordings for leading London market insurers. He is the co-author of the UK Chapter of the Third Edition of Directors' Liability and Indemnification. He regularly writes for insurance and other publications on matters of topical interest.
