David Taylor is a senior associate in the real estate team based in CMS’ Manchester office. David has experience advising a range of domestic and international clients including developers, occupiers and investors in relation to the acquisition, development, disposal, letting and financing of numerous different real estate assets.

Relevant experience

  • Mountpark on its sale of a pan-European portfolio of industrial and logistics assets with a value in excess of GBP 500m.
  • The acquisition of a 75% interest in Media City, Salford for c.GBP 425m.
  • McLaren Property on the GBP 1.1bn York Central Regeneration Scheme, in partnership with Homes England and Network Rail. This scheme will include the delivery of 2,500 homes and 1m sq ft of offices, retail and leisure space.
  • Arrow Capital Partners on its full spectrum of day-to-day property work including acquisitions, developments, disposals and lettings. Recent transactions include: the GBP 180m acquisition of a portfolio of warehouses and the acquisition of a 2 million square foot logistics warehouse for GBP 233m, which was believed to be the UK’s largest logistics investment acquisition at the time.
  • Assura PLC on its full spectrum of their day-to-day property work including various primary care medical centre developments, acquisitions, disposals and lettings. Recent transactions include: the GBP 500m portfolio acquisition of 14 private hospitals, the GBP 250m joint venture with USS and the initial acquisition of a portfolio of 7 medical centres, a portfolio sale of 12 medical centres for GBP 25m and the acquisition, development and letting of Winchester Medical Centre.
  • Vita group on the acquisition, development, funding and disposal of their Lewisham Exchange development, a 35-storey modular built tower comprising 758 student housing beds (of mixed tenure), 67 affordable housing units and ancillary communal, leisure and retail space.
  • Morris Homes on the acquisition and development of various residential schemes including Morris’ East Lancashire Paper Mill scheme comprising up to 400 new homes (of mixed tenure), 16 acres of open space and a new cricket ground.
  • Columbia Threadneedle on the full spectrum of their day-to-day property work including acquisitions, disposals and lettings. Recent transactions include the disposal of a portfolio of properties for GBP 37m and the re-development and letting by way of a 200 year lease at a rent of c.GBP 1m p/a of a hotel property.
  • Renaker on various commercial lettings at the GBP 750m, 1,500 unit Deansgate Square four tower sky-scraper cluster development in Manchester.
