Elizabeth-Anne Larsen is a Senior Associate – Solicitor Advocate in CMS’ London office, specialising in litigation and regulatory, primarily in the fields of life sciences, product liability, consumer products, and healthcare.  Elizabeth-Anne is Co-Head of CMS’ Global Life Sciences & Healthcare Associates Group and Co-Head of the UK Life Sciences Associates Group.  

Elizabeth-Anne is dual-qualified in both the US (Texas) and England & Wales.  She has vast and unique experience in both jurisdictions in various matters of life sciences and healthcare law, including managing complex, large-scale multi-district litigation (US) and group litigation (UK) (“class actions”) and other product liability disputes involving medical device and pharmaceutical products; advising life sciences and consumer product companies on regulatory, compliance, and liability issues; and representing life sciences and healthcare companies at inquests.  She is active in the growing areas of class actions/group litigation and advises clients and lobby groups regarding strategies focused on reducing overall exposure, general defence, and impact of third-party litigation funding.

Elizabeth-Anne is also actively involved in UK and European trade associations in medical device, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors, broadening the depth of perspective she can provide when advising global clients.

Elizabeth-Anne has given presentations on comparisons of product liability in the US and UK, changes to EU product liability regime, transaction trends in the Life Sciences sector, and has co‑authored CMS expert guides and podcast scripts relating to digital health/telemedicine for CMS’ On the Pulse podcasts.  She has recently presented on product liability/product regulation at both webinars and law conferences.
