Gina is a senior associate within the Employment Team. She advises on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, including Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation, corporate transactions and day-to-day employment issues, including employee relations matters, restructuring and redundancy programmes and senior executive appointments and departures.

Gina is an experienced litigator and has successfully defended a number of sensitive and high-value claims including those for unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and claims arising out of a TUPE transfer for clients in a variety of sectors, including financial services, media, technology and hospitality. Gina regularly delivers HR training to clients in person and online. 

Relevant experience

  • Employment Tribunal claims for a key technology client of the firm, including for unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and whistleblowing. All claims taken to full hearing were successfully defended.
  • An accountancy firm client against two related race discrimination and unfair dismissal claims and obtaining a costs award for our client in the sum of GBP 10,000.
  • A group action holiday pay claim spanning a number of years brought by several hundred employees who TUPE transferred to our client.
  • Lead associate on a high value career loss case for a hedge fund client involving dual proceedings in the UK (in the High Court and Employment Tribunal) and in Hong Kong.
  • Lead or sole point of contact for a number of key clients of the firm, advising on their day-to-day employment issues, including complex employee relations matters, restructurings and redundancy programmes, senior executive departures and contractual arrangements.
  • Seconded as in-house counsel at a leading global investment bank, advising internal HR and ER teams on a range of complex legal issues, including compensation disputes, senior executive departures, redundancies and employee relations matters.
  • Seconded to assist the HR Director of a national accountancy firm in implementing a large restructuring programme within the HR team.
